Die offizielle Fackel der Rhine-Ruhr FISU World University Games wird am 08. Mai auf dem Campus der RUB Station machen. Insgesamt 15 Menschen, welche die Universität und den Sport in besonderer Weise geprägt haben, werden die Fackel von der U35-Haltestelle auf einer definierten Strecke bis zur 'Roten Bete' tragen. Dort wird die Fackel feierlich vom Rektorat empfangen.
Ein lebendiges und bewegendes Programm aus Kurzinterviews mit Olympiamedaillengewinner*innen, Paralympioniken und Persönlichkeiten aus der RUB bietet Einblicke hinter die Kulissen dieses weltweit größten studentischen Spitzensportfestivals. Mitmachangebote und kleine Gewinnspiele sorgen nach dem offiziellen Teil für gute Stimmung. Das AkaFö bietet diverse Speisen und Getränke zum Verkauf an.
Der Fackel werden Interessierte nie wieder so nahe kommen können wie hier. Fotos mit der Fackel sind ausdrücklich erwünscht.
Da die 'Rote Bete' nur begrenzten Platz hat, ist eine Anmeldung notwendig, um Zutritt zum Empfang zu erhalten.

The official torch of the Rhine-Ruhr FISU World University Games will stop on the RUB campus on May 8th. A total of 15 people, who have left their mark on the university and in sports in a special way, will carry the torch from the U35 tram stop along a defined route to the "Rote Bete". There, the torch will be ceremoniously received by the Rectorate.
A lively and moving program interviewing Olympic medalists, Paralympians and great personalities of the RUB offers a look behind the scenes of the world's largest student sports festival. After the official part of the event, participation opportunities and small competitions will ensure a good atmosphere.
This is the closest you will ever get to the torch. Photos with the torch are encouraged.
The AkaFö will offer various food and drinks for sale and there will be the opportunity to get closer to the official torch than anywhere else.
As the 'Rote Bete' has limited space, registration is required to gain access to the reception.
More information about the route, the torch runners and the program will be announced on May 5.
